About Us
Truman College Child Development Lab School offers comprehensive, full and half day Private Pay, Head Start, and State Pre-kindergarten classrooms for students and staff at Truman College and families in the community. We are open to the public! The Lab School is a demonstration program for Child Development and Education students at Truman College and offers further training to programs throughout the city of Chicago. We are licensed by the State of Illinois and offer comprehensive childcare and education for children from age three(3) to five(5).

Classroom Standards
The Lab School adheres to federally mandated Head Start Performance Standards for all classrooms. These regulations represent the highest standards in the field of early childhood care and education. We are licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
Program Cost
Parent fees are assessed on the basis of income. See below. Our Lab School is subsidized by the Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services through Chicago Department of Human Services, Illinois Department of Human Services, Illinois State Board of Education and Truman College.
